Should I download FS Global first, then Free X Mesh, and then Ultimate Terrain (UTX)?

If you want two mesh products, FS Global and FreeMeshX, it's fine to have them coexistent. Install order doesn't really matter at all between the three.

does the freemesh replace the ORBX FTX Global ? or just supplement the mesh ?

FTX Global is a set of textures and autogen replacements. It does not supply a mesh.
