Scenery Hard Drive Question

Recommended Posts

Hi.  I was wondering if a portable external drive such as the Seagate Backup Plus Slim is a suitable drive for the Ortho4XP scenery to perform well.

Thanks,

Jeff Smith

If it can hold its own to a Western Digital My Book, then yes...it will work just fine.

I'll check specs.

Thanks.

Jeff, most externals run at 5,400 RPM, and that is just fine for such as Ortho4XP load in. That also means...that they will be the longest lasting, as well. A good trade off, considering that they also do not add heat to the system cabinet, in any way.

Great!  I was  assuming 5400 RPM, but didn't know if that was good enough for the scenery.  Now I do.  I'm picking up a 4TB Seagate Backup Plus Desktop Drive tomorrow.

Thanks.

Jeff
