NE and BlackMarble

Featured Replies

Hi-

I recently found out that BlackMarble doesn't work with photoscenery. That's worked out in that flying in darkness, I just disable the PS.

Now, if I want to install Night Environment and use that with PS, do I disable BM? Or do they cooperate?

Thanks,

Mark

Hi Mark,
Thank you for supporting our developments,

Black Marble and Night Environment do cooperate very nicely together!
place Night Environment on top of your PS scenery; this will cover the night exactly the way Black Marble does outside PS based scenery worldwide so they look the same regardless of one being landclass and the other library based,

Just chiming in to agree that Night Environment does work with photoscenery, certainly in FSX:SE.  I have the NE British Isles and VFR Real PS for England. One thing I didn't like, but this is probably down to my PC, is that with the custom splash map enabled (splashes of light on the ground) I didn't like the way it popped into view. I still get the actual lights popping up but I can live with that - for the most part, the highways of the UK are superbly usable for VFR flying at night
