I know, I know, it's not like me to buy much payware, but I've had my eye on this pretty little thing for a while, despite my liking for heavy metal & fast jets. I took advantage of a the recent Just Flight sale so that the Lionheart Creations Aerospool WT-9 Dynamic was mine for less than a tenner It appears to be very faithful to the real life ultralight. Have you tried calibrating the controller (s) in windows control panel?

No idea what is wrong with the files, sorry. Have you tried opening both of the aircraft cfg files in notepad and comparing them, especially sections to do with engines or thrust etc?

Welcome! Are you using a joystick or yoke? If so, can you calibrate it via the VMware windows 98 control panel? Is VMware an emulator of some sort? Does the controller calibrate ok within Win 7? Apart from that I've no idea. Hope it helps though! do however have quite a few FS98 addons on my shelf. I'm going to post details in the classified section soon.

Sorry it's taken a while for a reply - I've been away this weekend. If you look at various videos about the real WT9 - the Lionheart version is extremely accurate as far as the model and looks go. I cannot vouch for the accuracy of the flight dynamics, because I've not flown the real one (I'm only a student glider pilot), but it feels like a nimble ultralight aircraft and the performance figures generated in the simulator seem to represent the real Dynamic too. The virtual cockpit looks accurate and the 2D instrument panel is very clear too - there's several pop up panels for the instruments too, available in either 2D or virtual mode. I like the way you can swap out the 3 standby instruments (ASI, altimeter and VSI) to imperial ones, instead of the metric European fit. I couldn't work out what was up with the altimeter until I realised it was graduated in kilometres! The instrument suite is quite comprehensive - there's even an autopilot in there too! Having the plane's leather bound handbook in a pocket on the left of the cockpit is quite fun! Just click to access it and click to turn the pages etc. Even when flying LOL! Having a true cold and dark aeroplane is a nice touch, even if you have to set it up yourself (the usual, get in a cessna, turn it off, select the WT9 save the flight if you wish). I think it's a well produced model of a fun, GA ultralight sporty looking aeroplane, which is also an excellent glider tug IRL - at least it was definitely worth the £8.28 I paid for it. There are a couple of "features" I've so far found which are a minor niggle. The mirror on the port side of the canopy is non functional (not really an issue as it can be omitted, & it's usually only fitted to real world glider tugs I believe). The other one is the exterior noise which you hear when you slide back the direct vision port in the canopy. The looped sound might be that cacophonous in flight, but not when you're on the ground with the Rotax idling surely? (again I've never been in the real thing). Hope this helps, Bill!

I've just purchased this fun little aeroplane (on sale at Just Flight) and have taken it on a couple of short test flights. Lovely little thing! Thank you very much for this Creation, Lionheart. From watching a review on youtube (before I made the purchase) it showed the control panel as having an option to select crew gender/no crew/two crew. I note that the current FSX add-on comes with separate liveries for male & female crew. Is this why the option is missing from the panel? Also I crashed a fixed gear model on landing thanks to me retracting the undercarriage (button on my flightstick out of habit!). I heard the gear retract sound but thought nothing of it until the unscheduled belly landing! There's a fix on this forum I believe, editing the contact point info in the aircraft.cfg file, but would this be addressed at a later date by Lionheart anyway? Cheers.

Landing looked pretty good from here .... unless in that last shot you were actually fully stalled and had the wheels punch through the wings! LOL

Amazing. What was the airfield you flew over in the 3rd to last pic please? Does it just serve the built up area next door?
