Lorby Addon Tool weirdness, pink blank entries, backup location?

Recommended Posts

So in testing my p3dv4 install.. i decided to "move" all folders out of the docs\ addons folder.. run p3d then close.. then move them back.

First thing that happened was i was prompted repeatidly for every scenery addon by p3d.. (enable addon prompts)..

Then i decided to open the Lorby Tool and see if it would repair the situation to prevent prompting (after killing p3d process)..

When i open the tool.. i now see all the orbx ftx entries mixed in (from scenery.cfg, i never added them as addon-xmls).. and there are about 6 entries that are just blank and "pink"..

So i opted to try the restore from backup option, but i'm not sure where it stores the backups when it makes the zip files..

Any idea what might be going on here.. this is on lorby 1.07.

Thanks

Hi,

The P4AO always displays scenery.cfg and add-on.xml scenery areas at the same time in the list. Scenery.cfg has light colors, XML have dark ones. What you see in the list is the total of what you have in your scenery library - it should correspond to the library dialog in P3D. You can layer add-on.xml components inside the scenery.cfg priority range, and that seems to have happend in your trials. The empty pink lines are invalid entries in your scenery.cfg, you should check the file, find out what is wrong with it.

Backups are stored where you save them in the backup process, default path is your Documents folder.

Btw, current version is 1.09.

Best regards

Thanks.. not sure why i didnt notice the scenery.cfg entries before.. the ones that were invalid.. not sure how they got there.. nevertheless.. i removed them.. actually restored a scenery.cfg i made prior..

All is well with 1.09 and the multi select is a nice addition.  One thing that would make it easier perhaps.. would be some way of searching within the tool (when you have a ton).. either way its fantastic.. i also have simstarterNg to start working on customizing launch profiles for various regions, which i think can be based on add-on.xml entries being on/off.
