August 10, 20178 yr I've just received a warning from my anti-virus software (Norton 360) that lockit.dll in MCE contains the Heur.AduML.B virus and that lockit.dll has been removed for safety. Obviously MCE software does not contain any viruses, so it's what I believe is called a False Positive alert. More importantly, will MCE still function normally without lockit.dll, or should I re-install MCE, please?

Sometimes Avast wrongly flags "mce.exe" or "xpwiz.exe", simply because they cannot inspect the files. Even though they are digitally signed. assuming you downloaded it from our website, it's a false positive. Just tell your AV to trust \Multi Crew Experience\ installation folder. August 10, 20178 yr Author Many thanks, but just to be sure, do I have to replace lockit.dll or will MCE run properly without it, please?
August 10, 20178 yr Commercial Member Go to your anti-virus vault and restore it from there. Yes, it's required. Eventually, after telling your AV to trust \Multi Crew Experience\ installation folder, re-install MCE and you should have all files in place. Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com
