poor fps at night flying in v4 / fine at during day time

Featured Replies

purchased v4 while ago, when I add 3rd party airport , and change to night time,

fps dropped to 10~14fps  even with FXAA and AA settings to OFF with default aircraft.  (no AI setting).

When I remove 3rd party scenery, fps seems to be back to normal in the night time.  What seems to be the problem?

3rd party airport with day time seems to be perfectly normal fps rate.

Perhaps re-try with Dynamic Lighting un-ticked....

Ok, I did get solved the problem by deleting 3rd party night lightning texture files. I deleted 15 files and it fly smooth in the night time with the 3rd party airport.  I realized that some v3 sceneries are not compatiable with v4 yet.

I had the same problem, but solved it by disabling autogen cast shadow during night. They are not visible at night anyway. One odd thing though is if I use Time Preview there is no diference in FPS, day or night, with all shadows active. But as soon as I click apply and the scenery is reloaded the fps goes down to 15-20 and stutters. It's probably by design as it was the same in v3.
