New P3 Forum

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

Can I request we have a new 'Prepared 3D Add-Ons' forum. After all, we have one for X Plane?

Thanks.

X-Plane is not the same as P3D.  It is a relatively new sim and a much different programming format from FSX.  P3D is based off of FSX and FSX has been around for many years and most members are familiar with the many eye-candy freeware and payware addons.  AVSIM hosts several forums for many of the developers.  PMDG is an addon.  FSCrew is an addon.  AVSIM has a rule in the Terms of Service:  No Advertising in the Forums.  I'm afraid having an add-on forum would result in nothing more than an avenue for advertising.  We have to watch the X-Plane forums too for unauthorized advertising and it is a problem.  AVSIM gets most of its revenue from advertisers to maintain AVSIM.  If we allowed advertising in the forums, there is no reason for the developer to pay us to advertise.

Technology has changed considerably over the years and search engines have the capability today of getting anything you want at your fingertips.  You just have to ask the search engine.  Like, "where can I find P3D freeware?"; "what freeware aircraft is available for P3D?";  "what payware airports are available for P3D";  "what about commercial scenery for P3D?".  So you see it is easy to get the information you want.  You just have to ask.
