March 3, 200620 yr >Hi Denny,>>well, at this time of the year it's easier because if I do get>upset I just have to go downstairs and chop some firewood ->like a good Canadian :-bang >>However, I've had my share of (summertime) "heated exchanges">in various fora too so I wouldn't consider myself exactly a>saint :-halo >>Cheers, Holger Well Holger; I've split my share of firewood at this time of year down here inMissouri as well. Of course by the time you get done it may be 70 deg:-lol I only visit the forums when I'm on the road (wich means every dayrecently), which might explain why I've never before seen you get your"German" up}( "A man who chops his own firewood is warmed twice"..Ben Franklin "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants to see us happy"..Same Guy :-beerchug Denny Denny Retired Professional Tourist

March 3, 200620 yr Hi Scott, i can safely say that the palm trees are gone in Colorado ;-) We are shooting for releasing the full update during the weekend, which will also include revised autogen in Europe.

March 3, 200620 yr >Two words: global coverage.I have BEV and I'm quite happy with it. I'll be getting GE this weekend when I have time to mess with it. The two are so simular, according to all the posts, that I'll get GE simply for the global coverage and switch back and forth between the two as moods and circumstances warrant. BEV is promising global coverage in the future, and I'll certainly buy it; but "the future is now" with GE.Thanks for all the posts and info.Bob
March 3, 200620 yr What in the world is libelous about Scotts statement? Ive read it three times, and there is -nothing- which is aparently libelous about it. It is an OPINION and nothing more, anyone has a right to their opinions, and having one does not necessarily make them right. But can't we have a -difference- of honest opinions, without accusations of libel? Many may fly outside the US, but it sure appears from sales that there are many more flying in the US, than outside the US. Why, because the US is larger (many states are larger than European countries.) Those which are larger may not have an economy which allows the majority to own a computer. Secondly, as they first became popular in the US in the 50s-70s popularity spread faster in the US... (I had my first one in the early 70's.)
March 3, 200620 yr Commercial Member Hi there, the thread is a bit confusing now because Allcott's (not ScottPilot's) original post has been altered but it definitely was libelous because it specifically accused two companies of fraud. That part was removed by Tom.Cheers, Holger
March 3, 200620 yr one question regarding update for GE. Do i have to uninstall old version completelly and then run new version with reinstall function? I always very afraid of this uninstall/install issues, because sometimes i do something wrong and more problems comes.. :-(Can you please explain more precisely how to uninstall old one? First antibackup (or how can i say it) old textures, then uninstall GE or other way?

March 3, 200620 yr Well, as a new FE and GE customer, I am very happy with both Environmental packages. As I was not using BEV or FSScene, or for that matter, any other ground ground replacement textures, this has opened FlightSim up even more to me, and I actually enjoy looking out the window now.I will definately say that GE is a HUGE improvement over the default textures, and with all the new autogen, it's just wonderfull. I will have to say that the thing that I like about GE, as most other people will agree with me on this, is that it is a worldwide texture replacement package. I do understand that some areas may have palm trees where they not supposed to be, or whatever else may be out of place, but as a whole, the package is excellent.Well done to the guys who did this, and to Flight1.Cheers,
