I am extremly happy with my AORUS from Gigabyte (the non-extreme version). The fans turn off in the idle (2D) mode and my CPU cooler is louder under full load, so I do not hear the GPU in any case. ASUS seems to have an excellent air cooling solution as well. Advantage of the EVGA cards is basically limited on the guarantee: you are allowed to remove the cooler without loosing the guarantee. Otherwise, the "normal" EVGA 1080Ti (fully air cooled) are not amongst the most quiet cards according to various reviews...
