Splash Screen Position

Featured Replies

Somehow I've managed to get the opening splash screen position almost pushed off the monitor. It's now barely visible in the lower right corner. I know there is a .cfg file fix but I can't find a reference to it. Does anyone remember how to get the splash screen centered again? Doug

It happened to me after I installed new drivers for my vid card. I also noticed that FS2004 picked some RANDOM new resolution... Try going to your fs9.CFG and see if you can change the resolution there. Note that you may have more than one resolution entry - at least one per card if not one per driver version (especially if you use dirvers "tweaked" by ppl from various 3D sites). As always - back up your original before you change anything ;-)Michael

Go into your FS9.cfg file under the MAIN section, find the entry for Location= and remove the numbers after the equal sign. Save and restart FS.

When you start FS, do you start in full screen mode or windowed mode? Try going to windowed mode, and then center the window in the middle of your screen. Then go back to full screen mode and you should be good....
