September 9, 20178 yr Hey guys, my sim just crashes after about 30 mins playing, it just stops and my mouse hand turns to a spinning wheel endlessly and I have to get out by hitting the windows button on my keyboard. It usually happens after about 20/30 mins too. There is no 'fatal error message' or anything though, it just stops with the noise still going on in the background for a short while then it totally stops. My knowledge on most things PC based is extremely limited but I have certainly tried. I have read something about an automationcore file (no clue what it does), initially some guy said to take it out then I read elsewhere that I shouldn't, I really don't know though what to do. My system is windows 10, AMD A9 RADEON R5 5 COMPUTE CORES 2.9GHZ 8GB RAM I use the PMDG 777, 737 and AEROSOFT 320/21. I will note it happens more with the PMDG products than with the 320, although it still happens with the aero 320 quite a lot. I have pulled back the display settings the whole way to see if it makes any difference but it hasn't. I would greatly appreciate any help!
September 10, 20178 yr Rename or delete the FSX.cfg, restart and let the config rebuild. If that does not work or any of the suggestions in the AVSIM CTD Guide, go to Steam and request support.
