Been looking for a while for a new monitor to use primarily for P3Dv4 and X-Plane 11.

My current screen is a Hazro HZ27WC which is a 27", 2560x1440 only capable of running at 59Hz which makes it impossible to get smooth performance in P3D.

GPU is a GTX 970 so I don't know how well it will handle a 4K screen.

I find it hard to find detailed specs for refresh rates to include 30Hz.

Any suggestions? Would like 30" and at least 2560x1440 resolution.

What is your budget?  Most 4K screens should run at 30hz.  I ran a GTX980 with a 4K screen and it did fine with P3D.  But for some reason 4K kills the FPS in XP11.  My new 1080ti will not run XP11 like I want at 4K.  But if u can justify the cost I highly, highly, highly, recommend a ultra wide monitor.  If u are interested in a ultra wide monitor message me.  I'll fill u in on some things I learned from researching and trying out a few different monitors.

Just try running the sim with x2 DSR ( set in the nvidia global settings CP tab and selected in the sim settings). This will simulate pretty closely how your system will handle real 4K.

Not more than around $500, so I can upgrade my GPU later on.

That is a good idea gboz! I will try that when I get home from work.

I found the AOC U3277FWQ, which is a 4K screen of 31.5", anyone familiar with that screen? Should be compatible with 30Hz refresh rate.
