Autopilot

Featured Replies

Before spending $40, can anyone tell me if the autopilot uses standard P3d default commands or is it custom?  I want to be able to use my Goflight MCP (not pro)!

What I can tell you is very simple: the autopilot works, but there are some bugs that can be ignored by anyone who knows what to do with an autopilot. FD, VS, Pitch Selector, NAV, VNAV, HDG, HDG, ALT,  SPEED (selector), CRS, BANK, APPR, all those functions are ok. No autotrottle, neither FADEC.

In addition, it is an excellent bizjet, one of the best in Carenado.

You doing everything right, you'll feel likely in Greg's P1D videos. LoL

Thank you....but can the autopilot specifically be controlled by the goflight MCP?

I am not a GoFlight user but I have examined the gauge code of this and other Carenado aircraft with their ProLine system.  Based on my understanding of that, I think the GF MCP will be pretty spotty.  Some basic things will probably work, like VS/ALT/HDG...but you will not have the advanced modes and I'm not sure NAV will work either.

I made my own switch panels using Leo Bodnar interface cards, and so far all of the autopilot functions work, including NAV 1 hold.
