March 14, 200620 yr I'm confused.I've searched the forums here but have not found any data. I did not see a forum on the PAD site. There are a whole lot of different PAD Twin Otters, all with seemingly different version numbers. I see a Twin Otter at v1.6 released on 1/9/2006, then a Cargo at v3.3. I have looked at the readme files I have found and so far have not seen the information I am looking for. So I can understand what the differences are between all the different models, is there a listing of what the changes are from version to version? For instance, the front page says the amphibious and other versions will be released in coming weeks. But if I look at the page, there were two amphibious versions released on Jan 25 2006, one at version 10, one at version 4. Why were two planes of the same name released with different versions on the same day? Can the paints be used from one version to the next? The latest version of the planes that were released seems to be 3.6. Will the paints of v. 3.3 work on v 3.6 model? How do I know what works with what?Could somebody help me unravel this? Thanks,Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com/FC_StartJava.html] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-) Tom Perry
March 14, 200620 yr im confused too, I guess. where is the cargo model at?edit: ooops, its air greenland that is the cargo model. She looks great. Heres hoping they do a repaint of Kenn Borek Air wheel version. One of my favorite. I downloaded the scenic repaint. very cool!I think each repaint has its own version, so whatever you download from there will be the latest version of that repaint.
March 14, 200620 yr Author Well, I think it was implied by the news item, the rest of the models will be released over the next few weeks. But, I'm wondering what the differences will be from those already on the page. I didn't see much difference if any between the new models just released and those of v10 of the amphibian. But I'm no expert on the subject. I would love to know what the changes are, and how I should know that all the models I have are in synch at rev level.Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com/FC_StartJava.html] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-) Tom Perry
March 14, 200620 yr Just curious but does the amphibian have water rudders, there is a switch on the panel for them but they don't seem to exist on the external model? Bruceb Bruce Bartlett Frodo: "I wish none of this had happened." Gandalf: "So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."
March 14, 200620 yr Glad I'm not the only one who found it very confusing. I did grab three of the most recent ones and replaced the ones that I've had for a couple of years. They're great planes, and I appreciate the freebies, but that page could be a LOT more user friendly.Jim
