October 2, 20178 yr I am trying to use my Carenado C180 G1000 sim aircraft to practice instrument approaches using autopilot. Using heading mode works fine but whenever I try to switch to NAV mode the airplane is turned North. The same happens in Approach Mode. I am using P3Dv3. Does anyone have any suggestions?
October 2, 20178 yr Do you mean the C182 ? Make sure the CDI is set to GPS or NAV/LOC as required. If you're trying to follow a GPS course but the CDI is set to NAV, the AP will do odd things. October 4, 20178 yr Author Thank you for taking time to reply to my post. Yes, I do mean C182. I will try to make sure I am doing what you suggest. I am training in a C182 G1000 and I certainly have not seen similar behavior in the real airplane but I realize simulators can be different. Again, thanks for your feedback.
