TCAS test "x" and red stripe on VVI

Featured Replies

After a couple years of flawless ops, I now get the "x" on both ADI's and the red stripe on both VVI's on entering cockpit.  These stay  throughout flight

but the instruments work nominally.  Can't understand what caused the abberation.

Since when do you have two ADIs and VVIs ? Do you mean the PFDs?

my bad--the "X" or stylized "H" is on the ADI portion of each PFD and the red vertical stripe is on both VVI's of each PFD.  Better?

The problem appears to be a corrupted file as this part of the TCAS check and that check does not operate when test button is depressed.  It is in view as soon as the cockpit is rendered on start of sim, but does not impede any of the normal ops except TCAS itself.  Will probably reinstall and see if that fixes it.

So the  X appears before you do the test?  It appears as soon as the VC is loaded.... this could be  a problem with your licensing service.  I recommend you submit a ticket to PMDG Product Support.
