I know Ariane take a little bit of space and they're High-def zso when you have an HD monitor it really look awsome.

"Im not talking about code taking up large file sizes, im talking about code for high res bitmaps and gauges that take up large file sizes. Many companies have made it work in the past. The larger the file size, the higher the quality image"Gauges are code--C++ or XML. In older gauges the bitmaps are bundled into the gauge and in newer ones, bundled into the cab file that makes up the gauge. You can have a .gau file that's a lot of code and very little bitmap--same goes for a .cab file. And you can have "a lot of code" that runs more efficiently than smaller code. But there's more. Depending on how a designer lays out his or her aircraft's VC, one can see an impact on refresh rates, clarity or both. IOTW, you can take the same exact gauge and get very different results on two aircraft depending on whether that gauge shares its projection poly with other gauges. My point is, you can't measure performance by one person alone. If performance is important, you need as much "in person" information as you can get. In my opinion, the more a product costs, the more research needs to go into it. And only real, unbiased users can give that feedback--not someone sharing anecdotal reports.-John

>ive never heard of this HD concept beforeOh I have to chime in onto this one, :-lolNeither have I heard for HD monitor or concept. Oh btw. if you are talking about HD in TFT and plasma screens, you are way off, cuz PC monitors reach much HIGHER quality than a HD-Ready plasma screen for instance. Highest resolution of a progressive HDTV is 1280x720 and interlaced 1920x1080. But, playing FS in interlaced mode? :-lol Last time I checked there are resolutions up to 1600x1200 (normal res) or higher even on some bigger and/or widescreen monitors. That's all. Have a nice day.
