What can I upgrade to improve my performance in V4?

Video card - at least a GTX1060 - get the 6GB version.  A higher overclock on your CPU would work too. Finally - 16GB ram wouldn't hurt.

Your CPU is fine. 

Add 8GB of RAM for 16gb Total and upgrade your graphics card to a 1070, 1080 or a 1080ti if you can swing it. 

Add a ssd for your operating system. If you can add one for prepar3d that will help with loading times.
