Alternatives to Microsoft's Flying Lessons

Featured Replies

HiDoes anyone know of any alternative interactive flighing lessons, payware or freeware, to the microsoft ones where you can use non-default aircraft. Although i've sucessfully imported my own aircraft, corenado's piper dakota into the lessons, because it doesn't appear respond the same way as the default Skyhawk 172, the lessons sometimes finish "prematurely" !!!I've read some posts that suggest adjusting the trim setting in the .flt file can overcome a lot of problems, however, i'm not too sure what to set it to - any help much appreciated.RegardsGary

Flying club by Just Flight has alternative lessons, I believe. I'm assuming you can use the AC that come with the package (which I forget). Check it out on thewebsite. I'm sure it will mention it.

The Flying Club from Just Flight has an option to use the Just Flight aircraft in the default Microsoft lessons but other than a little tweaking to accomodate the different aircraft speeds the lessons are identical. Flight1's Cessna 172R comes with a familiarization flight that is scripted and along the lines of the Microsoft type lessons. I really liked it and have encouraged Flight1 to offer more similar offerings if not a standalone set of lessons.
