ILS Landing

Featured Replies

Hi allIs there a way to add ILS facility to an airportand how .Replies will be appreciated

The minimum of what needs to be written in XML is2 TERMINAL_WAYPOINTS for IAF and FAFA GPS receiver coded FS9 default "vectors to final" ILS for the User AirplaneA proper Missed Approach procedure.A cooresponding AFCAD that has a ILS added/nested to the runway for the User Aircraft panel display (freq/LOC/GS/DME).This part of the XML that is written also helps control AI Traffic when weather is IMC.Compile the XML with BGLComp and place into the SceneryGenericscenery folder because the XML must have a airport header associated/embedded with it. hope this helps

Hi,Jim's way is the correct way to add an ILS to an airport. But if you do not know XML and are not using the GPS and don't care about getting an ILS approach from ATC in bad weather (i.e. only for VFR weather), you can just do the AFCAD part of his message (quite easy). Note that this will ONLY provide an ILS frequency for the user aircraft, nothing more.Hope this helps,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___
