When I try to change the current a/c after selecting aircraft menu, all I see is a black square where the a/c should be viewed. I hav tried reinstlling fs9, I have deleted the previous fs9.cfg file, and still I get previously downloaded a/c showing up in my aircraft folder. I even bought a new copy of fs9 and still have the same problem! any suggenstions?

Welcome to the forum(s). I'm pretty sure the "black square" issue is a video card driver problem. Something to do with the driver version and the AA setting. I can't be specific as I don't remember the details but I'm sure someone will jump in with the answer.Doug

I don't have that problem but I think from my readings you have to turn your AA on the nVida video card down to 4.

You need to turn your anti-aliasing down to something less than 4. While the application will run just fine with higher anti-aliasing values, the aircraft preview does not display. With that said, I have heard that if you run FS9 in a window-mode, the planes will preview correctly. I haven't tried it.Bob

The last writer is correct. While you're looking at the black square, switch out of full-screen mode, and your aircraft pix will return. I was baffled by this problem for a long time until I read on another forum about its cause and how to solve it. I remember now that the problem appeared just after I updated my video card driver, but I didn't make the connection at the time. Good luck.
