Is it possible run DX 10 Fixer and DX 9? I want to switch between both. DX9 is running via Simstarter at the moment. I ask because flying GA with DX 10 is beautiful. IFR with all effects kills my frames. What is needed? FSX

If using a tool  to start fsx

Then you just  need two fsx.cfgs with different settings for d3d10

In the fixer don’t convert all effects, and don’t select the legacy reflection option.

The fixer libraries can stay installed in dx9 without issue.

Yes old aircraft built with the fs2002 Sdk won’t have chrome reflections.

the fixer butt9n to switch between dx9 and dx10 handles this automatically, but if you want to switch by an external program then I suggest not to select the reflection option.  It’s only very old port over aircraft that you will notice it with.
