April 3, 200620 yr Hello All,Having been a Boeing nut for many years, I feel a change is needed while waiting for the Proline Captain Sim 752 to come out. Can those who know recommend the best A320 A/C please? Payware or freeware. Particularly interested in functioning FMC. Maybe a payware panel with IFDG model?Help me out here!Cheers,Andyhttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/891483/402.pnghttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpghttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpgSemper en excretum, solo profundum variat!
April 3, 200620 yr iFDG model with PSS panel. The PSS panel is still the best around. While it is a great panel, I'd love to see another payware developer tackle the A320 again, adding some FS2004 features like wx radar. But until then, iFDG and PSS take the cake.
April 3, 200620 yr I know of one that's soon to be released ;)http://img358.imageshack.us/img358/9342/efpo3xe.jpg
April 3, 200620 yr PSS doesn't seem to be available anymore, how about A320 Pilot in Command? Anyone used it? Any good? Or the A320 in Eurowings Pro? http://online.vatsimindicators.net/891483/402.pnghttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpghttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpgSemper en excretum, solo profundum variat!

April 3, 200620 yr Andy here's a quick rundown on the state of Airbuses in this community:First off, the 'Wilco' A320PIC was originally designed for FS2k2 as an effort to be the first to feature an interactive VC. It kind of worked for FS2k2 but we're long past that now... The programming fell outside the SDK making it a failed patch job in FS2k4. Framerates are terrible in FS2k4 unless you lower your default gauge resolution. The key commands and joystick controls are very different from your average add-on. Let's just say imagine using your throttle to raise your landing gear and clicking a keyboard button to activate your reverse thrusters. This add-on is terrible in FS2k4 to say the least. April 3, 200620 yr "Fast forward to PSS's A320 which has zero support as well."So you obviously don't look at the very active PSS Airbus forum here at avsim then.If you had said no more upgrades or patches I would have agreed with you as PSS will not be releasing any. But you are way off the mark if you think there is no support. April 3, 200620 yr Dillon, in fact I can't see a question from you in the PSS Airbus forum for the last 6 months or so, so you are probably unaware that the support has been considerably ramped up and several of us are there answering questions on a daily basis.I will look into your A/P not disconnecting problem but if you have any other info about this could you post it in the Airbus forum so I spot it. Thanks.Rob Elliott, EGPE InvernessPSS Airbus Support andAirbus Fleet Training Captain, British Airways Virtual [email protected]http://www.speedbirdonline.co.uk/airbus.htmlhttp://www.bavirtual.co.uk
April 3, 200620 yr Rob we can talk about issues all day long in a forum. I've been done with the Airbus for over a year now. This is nothing new... The last time I posted was before PSS changed the forum arrangement to what they currently have now. Why keep beating a dead horse??? How long has FS2k4 been out now???When a developer stops actively working to make a product better and just leaves users to waddle in unresolved issues then I have to say there FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
April 3, 200620 yr 1) PSS is still the only serious contender when it comes to reasonably realistic modelling of the Airbus family.2) PIC A 320 is complete crap. Waste of money. 3) The PSS forum here is alive and active; with great tips on how to tweak the flight dynamics. ricardo
April 3, 200620 yr OK Dillon that's fine, but in my view your opinions on the PSS Airbus are out-dated and don't reflect the current status with the Airbus forum or the issues that do get resolved regularly by those of us who put a great deal of time and effort into it. But no-one is forcing you to fly it so best of luck with the other aircraft in your hangar.Rob Elliott, EGPE InvernessPSS Airbus Support andAirbus Fleet Training Captain, British Airways Virtual [email protected]http://www.speedbirdonline.co.uk/airbus.htmlhttp://www.bavirtual.co.uk
April 3, 200620 yr PSS is unfortunately the only developer with a good Airbus. While I do like the PSS Airbus Pro Series, it is a tad outdated now and I would wish they would give it a facelift, especially with their Airbus history and experience.Make the VC clickable, replace some cockpit textures, some FMC/AP/flight dynamics improvements and I would be more than happy to purchase a version 2.The 320PIC should not be sold in stores anymore, because it has been 100% unsupported for FS9 and abandoned by both by Anticyclone and Wilco, despite a toilet roll full of issues.I do look forward to the Project Airbus...Pat
April 3, 200620 yr Thank you all for your input. I didn't mean to start a forum punchup though!Think I'll hold fire for a while and stick with my IFDG and Ken Mitchell panel combo.Keep the faith!http://online.vatsimindicators.net/891483/402.pnghttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpghttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpgSemper en excretum, solo profundum variat!
