November 14, 20178 yr Are there any issues with VoxATC 7.41/Win10 64bit latest update/P3d v4.1. I had just installed Vox prior to P3d v4.1 and latest windows update and all seemed to be working okay. Then I did the P3D and windows updates and have issues. Now I can't get "Runway Number Update" to run. The App comes up with blank page and I press SCAN and it seems to start scanning then stops with an error and shuts down. There are Windows APPS Reports as follows but all are meaningless to me. Can anyone see anything pointing to the problem? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Event Properties - Event 1026, .NET Runtime Application: RunwayNumberUpdate.exe Framework Version: v4.0.30319 Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception. November 14, 20178 yr Mine is scanning with the green bar. Do you have the Levell-D Simulations folder in the main directory of P3dv4.1. If not create one with the exact name I used and download the latest airac from Navigraph and it should find it (the folder or if not point to it) and install the data. Then run the Runway Updater again as administrator and see if it works. Mine just did for the first time ever. :) I just thought of something. Think about getting (if you use Navigraph) a subscription to fsAerodata https://www.fsaerodata.com/ and install it. I believe it keeps everything up to date with runway numbers that change etc...Read up on it. That may be why I can scan now and it shows all the new runway data with airports through out the world. Something to do with the old default bgl's from the old fsx days. Worth a looksy and not a bad price for a year. Just my humble opinion. Good Luck, Bob M. Bob M
November 14, 20178 yr It's working for me with the same setup except that I'm not running the Win10 Fall Creator's Update (Version 1709), because of problems that others have reported with 1709 when running flight sims and add-ons. Bob is correct about running the runway updater as Administrator.
November 14, 20178 yr Author Thanks for your replies. Yes it scans for about a minute then dies. Is running as admin and in the correct directory etc. I have reinstalled Vox and Navigraph several times. I think I will have to try removing Win10 Fall Creator's Update (Version 1709) and see if it makes a difference. Thanks again for your help. Mike Intel Core 6800K, ASUS X99 A2, 32GB Mem, EVGA 1070
November 15, 20178 yr You are welcome..I have the Fall Update and everything seems ok. I have run Voxatc for a number of years.. Voxatc for FSX version 6.52....Maybe doing something wrong but I have never got the Runway Updater to work till I saw your post and decided to try it and it worked. Do not know if fsAerodata had anything to do with it. Good Luck. Bob M. Bob M
November 15, 20178 yr Author Well, now I don't seem to have an option to roll back to previous version WIN 10. Not going to reinstall again, and if you can run the updater then it must be something else on my PC stopping it working. Have to approach VOXatc and ask for help in identifying the issue. Bought VOX back in 2005 and to date I don't think I had anymore then a months use out of it with one thing or another being updated over the years on my PC. Will have a look at fsAerodata also. Cheers, Mike Intel Core 6800K, ASUS X99 A2, 32GB Mem, EVGA 1070
November 15, 20178 yr Yeah, I can't rollback either.. Do you have the Level-D Simulations folder? I know it reads that and I see it reading fsAerodata and other stuff. You won't get any response from Tegwyn..so don't waste your time. Try adding P3dv4 directory and Voxatc to your list of exclusions in Defender. I make a backup image of C: and the ssd I have of P3dv4 about every day or so cause you never know when somethings getting screwed up. You might use Total Uninstall or Revo Uninstaller to take out Voxatc completely and reinstall as Administrator and see if that works. Good Luck. Bob M. Bob M
