November 23, 20178 yr Hmmm... Thought I knew how to do this, but can't quite figure out... GPS 1 (any aircraft, either 530 or 430) works the HSI just fine. However, I can't get my GPS 2 (a 430) to control NAV 2. Basically, nothing happens in self-check, and nothing happens when I tune a VOR. I know it's basic, but what am I missing? thanks H e l p k e e p A V S I M f l y i n g
November 23, 20178 yr Hi Turner, you'd to make sure the GNS unit2 is set to NAV/com 2. It also requires enabling the connection to VOR in the settings panel. Last but not least, there are pilot and copilot side, and your VOR gauge must use data refs from the same side (GNS unit 2 default to copilot side)
November 23, 20178 yr Author Thanks Jean-Luc, I thought I had it set up, and I've tried a few different combinations. I noticed NAV/COM 1 from the 530 isn't working quite right either (no VLOC/VOR operation). (Is there something I need to edit in the .ini file?) Everything is turned on in the settings, but perhaps this isn't right? I'll look at the manual again. No difference for NAV/COM 2 either with the settings adjusted. November 23, 20178 yr Have you set your device as 'master device' in the menu? Otherwise it is xplane's gps which has authority.
November 23, 20178 yr Author Disregard... good news... The old fix of "restarting the computer" comes to the rescue again! Looks to be working fine now. :) H e l p k e e p A V S I M f l y i n g
