FS9 + Internet Explorer 7.0 Beta 2 = Conflict Fix

Featured Replies

If you recently installed the Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 Beta 2, and your Flight Simulator 2004 crashes every-time when you access to something (such as menus, electronic kneeboard, etc) that is HTML based. Then here is the solution to that:Go to the FS9 installation root --Delete or Backup the file named "oleacc.dll" --That should do it.I googled this out.(http://msmvps.com/blogs/thenakedmvp/archive/2006/02/27/84921.aspx)Good Luck! :-) :-) Tom-----------------------------------------------------------------------

No, when you install the IE7.0, it will actually transfer all your favorites from IE6.0 to the new IE7.0. :-) :-)

microsoft + beta = trouble waiting to happen

>Just finished a flight with it and no problems at all. :-)Try deleting you fs9.cfg for MS to create another one - FS will not be able to create it and will never start until that file is deleted! If you blow out your FS9.CFG for some reason and you have4 IE7, you will know what the problem is.Ray Keattch

FS9 + Firefox = No Conflict :(

Thanks a lot for this find. My problem was that FS9 was crashing back to the desktop the minute I'd try to run it. I went to the Microsoft Knowledge base and found a solution. It was running fine, except for the once in a while CTD, but I had to disable the "Show Opening Screen" within the FS9.cfg and obviously I could not reach it. So I had no way in getting to the Scenery Library. Now it all works!!!!
