Quick QA Question....

Featured Replies

Hello all,After many many months of buying and flying many great commercial add-on products (FeelThere ERJ, all PMDG aircraft, Wilco 737, Level-D 767, CoolSky Super80, stc...) I wanted to drift into the world of GA flying. After all, this is where all real pilots learn to fly. Anyway, if you all had one payware GA single add-on to buy, which would it be? Thanks for any info you can give me...I much appreciate it.-Adam

Sorry, can't give you just one, there's too many good ones out there. :) Here's some highlights:RealAir American Champion Scout/Decathlon/Citabria: Great low-and-slow, simple bush planes and acrobatic birds. They are designed to fly from the VC and have the smoothest VC gauges you'll find anywhere. RealAir's SIAI-Marchetti SF.260 two-seat trainer is also a blast to fly, with the same amazing VC and smooth gauges.Carenado Cessna 182RG Skylane II and 206 Stationair: A couple of fantastic Cessnas with great panels and VC, gorgeous external models that are still easy on framerates, fantastic sounds, and excellent flight models. The 206 is my current GA addiction.Dreamfleet Beech Bonanza A36 and Baron B58: These are more upscale planes, with fancier avionics (they both include excellent Reality XP simulations of Garmin GPSes and some other goodies). They fly and look great and have tons of neat features. They're faster than the Cessnas if you want something a little hotter.Aeroworx Super King Air B200: Hands down the best sim of a business aircraft out there, period, end. Extremely detailed, right down to (optionally) tracking maintenance like topping off the oil and replacing the tires when they get bald. If you're into the fancy payware airliners, that experience will stand you in good stead with the Aeroworx B200, because if you don't go by the checklists, you'll be in trouble. Very realistic, very detailed, and very gorgeous.Lewis "Moose" GregoryRichmond, Virginia

If I had to choose just one, it would probably be the Dreamfleet A-36 Bonanza. The Aeroworx King Air B200, the Flight One Cessna 172, and the Dreamfleet Baron wouldn't disappoint you either.Jim

Thanks guys...I did indeed purchase the Dreamfleet A36...Figuring out the complex GNS430 has been quite fun indeed. It is simple enough to get up and flying pretty quickly, if one has experience with FMS/GPS type systems. However, there are very detailed features that allow for very precise navigation. Very cool. Thanks again for the recommendations. -adam

If I had to pick one it would be Lou Betti's Cessna 310. I have several others but I always seem to migrate back to that one.Owen
