Why do I love flying out of California?  In such a short distance, you cover such a variety of terrain, from farmland to alpine terrain, then to desert.  You'll spot the glacier-carved canyon of Yosemite.  I love the C550 because of its autopilot, arguably the best of all of Carenado's aircraft.  I like it because it uses pitch to hold indicated airspeed, then locks on to the preselected altitude.  Better than autothrottles in my opinion.  Also the C550 is a great hand flyer, if there is one jet to get, the C550 is the one.
