Perfect.

Can you do this in the meantime?

1) Update your motherboard bios to the latest: https://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards/Z170-A/HelpDesk_BIOS/

2) Install all the latest drivers provided by ASUS: https://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards/Z170-A/HelpDesk_Download/

3) Then go to the bios and disable the internal GPU.

4) Finally, unplug your Yokes, Pedals, MCPs and all peripherals except for your keyboard and mouse, confirm the problem is still present.

If the problem persist, there is an add-on causing this issue and we will find which one is it tonight.

SIMBOL, I'VE FOUND THE CULPRIT! It's the darn Saitek combat rudder pedals. I did some tests with only the mouse and keyboard plugged in and did a fresh reboot and found no issue whatsoever, apart from long loading of P3D. I did this four times with no issues. As soon as I plugged in the Saitek pedals, the beeping and stuttering appeared, each time with me having to reboot the PC from the power switch. I tried different USB ports and had the same response. I tried thorough testing with this and it is most definitely the rudder pedals. My question is now, does this point to Saitek pedals hardware failure, or is there something else at play here?

Ok glad we know what it is, let's focus now on that problem.

possible reasons:

1) Saitek Drivers

2) Configuration Assignments

3) Hardware Failure.

Work from the top to the bottom: Update drivers, check you don't have conflicts with assignments, FSUPC, PD3V4 key settings, etc., perform Saitek Calibration tests.

If all above fails, you could start considering the hardware might be faulty, ideally to declare this, you could try testing it with another game or PC.

Thanks. There are no Saitek drivers installed. Unsure about the configuration as the issue starts the second the loaded flight starts. I think it's best is if I follow your lead and try to use them on my other computer.

G104814919 however, I've just come across this.... it seems it may be the classic Win10 issue... https://steamcommunity.com/app/314160/discussions/1/523898291502600888/  It's all starting to make sense as it happened following an update.

Well no hope on that link, they stopped using the controls.

Why you don't give this a go? http://www.saitek.com/uk/down/drivers.php there are some drivers for the rudders there, be sure to install the 64 bit version.

That went well. Started to run the installer and the entire PC has crashed  Bluescreened. Now it has got into a cycle and won't load into Windows. How can I get back into Windows?

No, they're unplugged. I wish I'd never gone to Windows 10. Ya know, I ran with Win 7 for 6 years and it was rock solid.

Ok, it is hard to believe that Saitek cannot be supported under Windows 10, anyway visit this https://www.digitalcitizen.life/4-ways-boot-safe-mode-windows-10 use one of these steps to load windows 10 into safe mode.

Check if you have a restore point, if you do revert, if you don't open device manager, find the option to show "all devices", find the rudder pedals and rollback the driver to revert the last changes.
