New user - possible TERP Charts suggestion

I looked at Pilot2ATC a few years back but was not experienced enough to delve into it. I have just tried the demo again and am very impressed at the progress. I will certainly be buying a copy. I got the program running and interfacing with XP 11 with very few issues. I even did a reasonable flight with it.

There are a couple of questions/suggestions, if I may.

The TERP button does nothing in my situation as I am in Australia. But I can easily get charts for any airport in Australia - they are supplied free of charge. I have a folder full of these charts and I can use the Open button and pick a PDF and it loads. No problem. It seems to me that it might be a good idea for the program to help a bit. It knows the ICAO code (eg YBBN) of the airport that I am interested in. I have also told it the default location/folder for my charts. When I press the Open button, it opens in the correct folder ok - but there are thousands of files in there. Can the program filter down to only show those files that start with or contain the ICAO code in question? And if there is only 1 file - simply load it without opening the file dialog. Some mix of this would make the rest of the World the same as the USA - we would have easily displayed charts!

I am using the Sayit! function currently to read out the communications with ATC. I also only have one ATC voice (I am in Windows 7), so what happens is that the copilot reads the communication - then I get the ATC response - then the copilot reads it back. All in the same voice. I am thinking it would be less confusing if I can turn off the audio copilot readback. Is this possible?

Oh - one other small thing - is it possible to label intersections on the map? I can move the mouse over one and get the details shown then, so it is ok. But an option to display the intersection names would be useful.

Excellent program....

Thanks for the suggestion.  The one about TERPs is on the list of future enhancements.

There are 2 options you can uncheck related to Co-pilot operation on the Speech tab of Config.  Just uncheck both of them, or just the "Responds to Radio" one if you want him to keep changing frequencies.

The intersections are not labeled because of the clutter and performance hit.  Tried it once and took it back out.  Not pretty.

Thanks,

Fair enough - not a problem.
