Virtual Cockpit Shadow

Featured Replies

Can somebody pleeeeeaaaasse let me know if there is a way that one can see aircraft shodow from the virtual cockpit. in a wing view for example, is there a way that i can see my shadow moving with me? if someone knows, please share. -Phil

Fraid not...FS just isnt coded for that sort of complex shadow making...try Lock On: Modern Air Combat, though...it'll do it...

Thanks man, i just thought it was strange how you can see it from the outside. why would it be that much harder to place it in the VC?

Actually, Carenado did it with the new Cessna206 they just released. The wing shows a shadow from the VC. If your into GA aircraft that is? www.carenado.com Thought I would share that with you.

FS most certainly is capable of showing the a/c's shadow from the VC view... provided the modeler included a shadow model (if built with FSDS), or followed the SDK if it was built in GMax... (-:

Just curious, are you talking a shadow as seen when on the ground or as seen when in the air or both? Bud

Im talking both. If you were in say an a320 in earlier morning you could see your aircraft shadow and on rotation you could see your shadow separate and become smaller. Thats what im saying, but i think we might have to wait until FSX to see that as the norm.
