Chaseplane - general thoughts and requests (or ideas)

Hello guys,

After testing CP for few months and having better and worse experience with it, I can say that 0.4.157 works really nice.
Just to be clear, I'm aware it's stil in beta stage and it will take a lot of time and your work to release 1.0 version.
So far, good job!

Forgive me my English, I'm not native speaker and it's evening so I'm quiet tired already.

Now, there are some features I love, other just don't use.
I will skip talking about "Replay Mode" since it just experimental and you will not focus on it right now and jump into Cameras.
First thing I would love to see changes or I should say just improved is transition time between views.
At this moment maximum time is 5 seconds. OK, for sitting in cockpit it's more than enough.  However, for those of us who would like to have a wide field of possibilities to record some videos lets say in "movie" style, 5 seconds is really short time and limiting.
Especially when you in outside view and you want to move camera from the front to the end of the aircraft. I know I could stretch video in editor later to 10s but there will be no smoothness as it should be.
I could use several cameras starting with #1 on nose and for example #5 behind the tail and then go through them to pan around the plane when recording a content.
This solution however isn't as good as it sounds. The problem here are transition curves. There is no "completely flat line" one. Not sure how I should call it in English - I'm not a native speaker.
That's why I would like to ask if there is any chance that you will make these both adjustments?

The other feature I would love to see would be a separate sequence list for video makers.
I would love to put my views on such a list, order them (like mentioned above panning around a plane) separately and let automatically go from no.1 to no.10 or any other number depends on how many camera I would put.
I have seen this feature in action while ago in OpusFSI with their Live Camera tool. Yes, OpusFSI isn't just Weather control software as many people think. :-)
This "sequence" feature worked absolutely great. It was quiet hard to set everything but spectrum of adjustments that can be made in it is huge.
In my opinion, feature really worth of implementing in ChasePlane.

Thanks for reading.
As soon as I will have another idea, I will add them here.

Best Regards

How about an automatic interior scan view, from left-window, along flight panel to the right window, as if scanning instruments (and looking out the windows for fun). Could be button activated to start and stop interior scan view.

You are reading our minds.

We have plans for a Studio extension in ChasePlane with transition curves and all that good stuff but we are far from seeing it implemented at this time.

Glad to hear that, Keven. :-)

With the sequence list I described in initial post, you could be able to do whatever you want like, doesn't matter if it is in VC or outside view.
The only limit would be probably your imagination. :-)
