DEfault GNS 430 pops up

I just installed the config for the ASDG super cub and the garmin appears correctly. When I click on the screen both the RXP GNS430 and the XP default GNS 430 pop up.

Any way that this can be prevented. It only occurs with the ASDG super cub, all of the other aircraft work properly.

Hi,

I don't know this aircraft specifications, it might be it is hardcoded in a way which is triggering both? Is this with the latest GNS v2.3.8?

Same behavior here. And I guess Jean-Luc is correct.
I quickly checked and the GNS 430 display object for the ASDG Super Cub has a popup dataref added :

manip_dref1=sim/GPS/g430n1_popup

As a comparison, the default C172 GNS 430 display object does not have that additional property.

So it's hardcoded, indeed.

You could try to make the appropriate backups, and go hunt for that "sim/GPS/g430n1_popup" in the *_cockpit.obj using a text editor.

Example:
There are two occurences in ASDG_Super_Cub_180HP_cockpit.obj

line #108905: ATTR_manip_command    button    sim/GPS/g430n1_popup
line #108912: ATTR_manip_command    button    sim/GPS/g430n1_popup    GPS popup

I didn't test that solution but it should be safe to remove those lines and save the .obj.
And if anything goes wrong, just restore your original .obj file(s).

(I'm using the latest RXP GNS, ASDG SC versions, and XP 11.11r2)

Thanks for that. Deleting those two lines cured the problem and hasn't caused any other issues.
