One for the aircraft gurus..

Doing some work using EditVoicePack to insure that ATC calls ac by proper make/type etc and to generally clean up the cfgs of AI aircraft so I can add AI flight plans with greater ease by knowing what ac I have. Don't know much about airliners tho and wasn't able to solve this with airliner.net...I have several CRJ 200s as AI aircraft. Who is the manufacturer who should appear in the UI_Manufacturer? Bombardier, Canadair, Canadian Regional Jet, etc? How does RW ATC refer to these? What should appear in the ATC_Model?(most currently say Bombardier but voicepack can say Canadain Regional) ATC_TYPE? (I think it is CRJ2) My various models say various things. thanks

You can call UI_manufacturer anything you want. I prefer to have "AI" and the model builder (AIA, PAI, FSP, etc) included to keep track of them better.According to US FAA Order 7340.1, it is CANADAIR CRJ2.http://www.faa.gov/atpubs/scott s..

Don't get confused...UI_ entries are only for the User Interface! IOW, what you see on the selection menus.ATC_ entries are what EditVoicepack and ATC are interested in... ;)

Thanks guys! just a point of clarification: I am interested in the ui_manufacture because I use a program called ACA 2005 to edit and review all my aircraft. It has a wonderful interface that allows me to sort and review all installed aircraft by airline, type, model, manufacturer, atc callsign, or whatever. I use the actual manufacturer and model in the UI entry so I can organize, say, all my Airbus 300s in one place regardless of maker (PAI, WoA, whatever) and make sure they use consistent ATC models or that the ATC callsign is consistent for the same airline liveries across models or maker. Also, that way, when a downloaded flight plan from AVSIM needs say an Airbus 300, I can review all that I have installed and see what liveries amd models I have or will need. (I have My Traffic 2006, so i have 100s of models and the My Traffic folks weren't always consistent.) I turn off all AI so they don't appear on the selection menus so I don't need other labels to keep track of who made what AI model. Anyway, My traffic 2006 has the CRJs referenced as Bombardier by ATC. Sounds like I should change it. I gather from Airliners.net the original CRJs were produced by Canadair but later acquired by Bombardier.
