Cockpit ToolTips missing on 737 NGX

On the 2D Panel I should get Information about a Switch when I Position the mouse over it.

But this is not so although I have the Option activated in General Options.

The second Problem for me is, that I am unable to zoon the 2D-panel.

Especially the upper left Buttons (one is DATA) are hardly to read.

It should work by entering the space bar and moving the mouse-wheel.

The only Thing that zooms is the runway.

Please help a bloody beginner.

I don‘t think that a sophisticated addon like a PMDG airplane offers tooltips to be honest. I haven‘t checked it but I wouldn‘t expect them. You rather should get familiar with the cockpit by going through the manuals step by step. When you use the virtual cockpit and zoom into every parts (with „a“ you can change the views) every button has a description. 

 

2D panels are not zoomable, that‘s why they are 2D.

reading the introduction Manual as a beginner

you can read on page 0.00.59

"... simply hover the mouse over the spot and a tool-tip will appear ..."

on the other Hand I would not see a technical Problem to zoom a 2D-panel too.

Changing the geometry of a 2D panel will certainly corrupt the "mouse hover" assignments that  trigger the tool tips.

Why are you using the 2D panel?  I suggest you learn how to work within the VC Cockpit for many reasons one of which PMDG is not doing them anymore.  I don't expect the updated 737 product to have one.
