Cefsharp.browsersubprocess

Featured Replies

I joined a VA about 2 weeks ago and really like it. I noticed, that it seemed my P3D 3.4 was running a bit jerky, as the flights progressed. I went into Task manager, performance and saw something called cefsharp.browsersubprocess.exe that was running and eating my CPU cycles, to the tune of around 20+ percent. I used task manager to end the process, P3D again ran smoothly, and I had no problem with the Acars from the VA.I then started the Acars, and as soon as I did, this program started up again, and ran between 15-22% CPU percent   I reported this to the folks at the VA, but so far haven't heard anything back from them.  I have no idea what this exe does, but everything seems to work normally if I just shut it down in resource monitor  after I launch the flight. Just wondering if anyone has seen this program or has any idea what it is for. It is definitely part of the Acars program.

PS, if a mod wants to move this topic, that's OK/ I couldn't figure out where to post it, and since I am running P3D, thought maybe this forum  might be a good place to start.

I finally just renamed the exe file to Faultycefsharp.....    which basically deactivated it, and now everything in Acars works properly and my CPU usage and performance is back to normal.
