Hi all,

Setting up new pc.  When i load PMDG products system freezes and crash to desktop.

Window 10, FSX + Accelleration pack

16GB RAM CORE i7

You might want to consider changing the topic of your post to something other than your username so people know what the post is about. 

Having said that, I’ll move your topic to the CYD forum. You might also want to include the crash log from Windows so that we can see what module is causing the sim to crash.

See the AVSIM CTD Guide (link in my signature) starting at page 9.  Did you place the proper version of the uiautomationcore.dll in the main folder (page 28)?  If you do not load PMDG products, the system does not freeze at startup?

Sorry about the topic thing, didn't realise and don't no where to change it.

Found hat FSX had defaulted to full screen mode.  So far no CTD, running FS Commander and so far so good.

Just trying to fix activation issues.

Will advise further,

Hi Kevin,

Everyone has the opportunity to change the title of their topic or even what was stated in the topic within two hours.  I or one of the members on the moderating team can change things for you too if you click on the Report Post at the top of each post.  The information provided by our moderator was just a suggestion.  You posted your topic in the FSX forum and you stated that whenever you load PMDG products, your "system freezes and crashes to desktop".  Our moderator rightly moved your topic to this forum as this forum handles all crashes and freezes.  That's one of the many things our volunteer moderators do.

Glad you got your CTD fixed.  When FSX opens up in full screen, you can definitely have problems.  That's why the fix is in the AVSIM CTD Guide.  If you are having issues with activation, I suggest posting that issue in the FSX Forum and let us know more details about the activation issue.  Is it FSX?  FS Commander?  PMDG?  Your subject/title could be something similar such as, Problems Activating FSX.  If it is a problem with a PMDG product, your best solution would be to go to the PMDG website and register an account in their support section and submit a trouble ticket (registration is not the same as when you purchased the product and you need to set up a separate account).  Sometimes a PMDG moderator will try to answer your question but the forums are more for user-to-user support as many developers, like PMDG, have moved official support to the trouble-ticket system so that they do not provide support to software pirates who might have a problem with their stolen product.
