I have tried to avoid naming particular vendors. I think my point is quite clear. "Why can't vendors sell software that works on installation?" I am not asking for tech support, it seems you missed that point. -

THIS IS NOT A SUPPORT REQUEST. There are some software vendors who have bugs in the installation setup. I refer to instance where a particular issue has been on a forum since 2008 with numerous posts right up to present time offfering the same solutions, with replies saying the offered solution didn't work. There are at least 2 major vendors doing this. I just invested a considerable sum to replace some lost software, only to find that the same issues from way back have not been resolved. The solutions offered yet again are the same ones offered over the years and do not work. It is about time the vendors sold software that installs correctly first time, without having to spend hours trying solutions suggested that do not work. -

It appears nothing has changed. Until reading this forum I had no idea that I ordered from a defunct website. I have an order # from the .com.au site but no tracking #. Opened the .com site, none of my orders are there. What do I do now? My order is being sent to a post office are we are permanent travelers. Without a tracking # I have no way of knowing where the parcel is. Have sent email to crew@pcaviator just now

Thanks Jim, Sorry about the topic thing, didn't realise and don't no where to change it. Found hat FSX had defaulted to full screen mode. So far no CTD, running FS Commander and so far so good. Just trying to fix activation issues. Will advise further, Many thanks.

Thanks Trent, My memory not as good as it was, tried the old email with a pw I no longer used and bingo. I normally back up on DVD with details attached but somehow had missed these 2. All good now, Cheers Kevin

Hi, After a hard disk meltdown I have had to re-install everything. All good with the exception of to PMDG airplanes. I have about 14 add ons and all either have the activation keys on the invoice or if on CD, in the CD case. I do not recall getting in documentation when I downloaded 777 and 737. The CD versions, MD11 and 747 all ok. I only have bank statement copies of the purchase transactions as proof of purchase. My login to PMDG account is inaccessible as the email I used is no longer in use. I have the software saved and loaded, just need the unlock keys and assumed I would be able to retrieve these by logging into my account purchase history. Filed a support ticket 3 days ago with no response as yet. Regards Kevin Kyle PS have found 737 keys

This does not relate to the transparency issue. Check PC Aviator's post above. If you have add on scenery be sure to load them first. If using FSX Gold edition be sure to load 3rd disk before installing any add ons.There is no fault in the Carenado software.

Thanks Dean,Completely uninstalled everything and started from scratch..No Joy. However, the DX10 preview button is missing. I feel sure this is the culprit, as I had the same problem on my own PC with a PMDG product and unchecking DX10 preview fixed the problem.The computer with the problem is running WIN 7 with NVidia 540 graphics card so probably has DX11 by default which might explain why the preview button is missing.Any ideas?

The file was download from PC Aviator as per the receipt above. It was then installed onto my son's notebook.At no time was a serial key requested.When it did not work I then tried it on my pC to see if it worked. It did. Again no request for serial key.The software is now only installed on the original notebook.I don't know what the hell is going on here but I am getting ######. I have paid for the software, shown the receipt.... it does not have copy protection, I don't want the bloody thing. And as there is obviously no support for the blasted product I will delete it and I want a full refund.

I suspect this has got to be graphics related. Had same prob with a PMDG prodect and HIGHMEMFIX=1 fixed that.Not so lucky with the Carenado though.Defineately not copy protection issue, install was from clean file.
