January 16, 20188 yr Hey guys, I looked for shots of this scenery here and was a little disappointed that did not see any posted. I was curious about the scenery as I felt it was very much missing from the sim world (esp. for tubeliner jocks, Seattle residents and Boeing fans in general). I picked it up (just the airports, not the Seattle area...yet) and I have to say I am extremely impressed! I'll let the screens do most of the talking, but this is JUST Payne Field...I have not explored the other Boeing fields yet. If the resolution is not great in the shots its because I have to do a lot of jpg compression because these screens were big and I try to keep the filesize at 200k. It looks fantastic on my 55" 4k screen! Taxiing my little CJ2 past all this big iron many me feel....inadequate? (A pilot with size envy...go figure!) The detail is very nice...no discernible performance hit in case you're curious. The unpainted aircraft look cool...taxiing to the famous taxiway that goes over the road we see so many pics of. There it is...and the massive hangars on the other side of the road. LOL....when you see pics from this perspective on the web, you see a massive airliner with its wings dangling over the road...you can barely see my little CJ. Taxiing past the biggest doors in the world..the feeling of size is pretty convincing for the sim. Hehe....being me, I thought I could just mosey into the hangar with my CJ....it was frowned upon. So I backed her up and got out...and looked up. I love this angle...shows off the size of this hangar! Guys...the detail in the hangars is worth the price of the addon alone IMO! Then nobody seemed to mind me walking around...so I did so. Here is a 747-8 waiting for her engines, cement blocks holding the wings down, hehe. Walking further back (and down the assembly line)...we see a tail section being hoisted into its final resting place. The platforms AND scaffolding are climbable! You can actually walk up the steps...so cool to get a higher perspective (without having to slew). Here is a night shot...no dynamic lighting, but I think it would bring your system to it's knees! It does not detract from the scenery in my opinion. Here is the 777 line with a -300 getting her midsection. Note the engine off to the left. There are believable parts all over the factory...where you'd imagine they'd be. Like this shot, you see this 787 is waiting for her legs, and ..there they are just in front of me. (I'm on an elevated walkway that I did have to slew to, but at least I didn't fall thru the walkway when I released slew) One last shot of the outside..the paint jobs on the static models are very nice (coming from a painter who's painted this exact plane). OK...anyone who made a custom afcad for this airport would be my personal hero! Imagine watching a 777 passing over that road or .... Seeing a bare metal 787 doing a test flight (hehe...let's see who corrects that statement). I picked the software up over at PCAviator, 10% Tuesday so the final price was $26...very good for 3 expertly crafted Boeing airports and a few others as well, and other small updates around the Seattle area. This is a very solid buy recommendation from me....Now to re-do all those Boeing delivery flights I made long ago with the default scenery! When we get a 787 for P3dV4 this field will be hopping! I hope some of you other screenshot posters will pick it up and give us some more shots...I think the work Drzewiecki did is outstanding...and I can't wait to add KSEA for $9 when they release it! Boeing field has amazing detail...packed with clutter however there are missing fabrications at the north end of the runway and the area businesses near the RR tracks...the city looks great but no ships in the harbor Renton and Auburn Municipals are outstanding!
