Nav Data "Out Of Date"

Featured Replies

After trying my first flight with the PMDG737NGX, I was stopped at the programing the FMC phase on the "Init" Page due to a message saying "Nav Data Out Of Date", after doing a bit of research I realized I need a program called "AIRAC." I'm looking for a free substitution for this, all I want to do is get flying. Thanks for any help you can offer!

You usually have to do a one time purchase, or you can subscribe for updated AIRAC data. However, you do not need to update the AIRAC to program a flight. I have been utilizing the PMDG 737-800 NGX since it was originally released, and I have never updated the AIRAC. No problem for me.

Note: I do not use VATSIM; if you use VATSIM for ATC you may need an updated AIRAC.

Hi Lucas, welcome to the PMDG forums, please note they ask we post our full names on all posts.

Please review the Introduction document, and you'll find it has a section "THE PMDG 737NGX DIDN’T DO WHAT YOU EXPECTED?" and in that section on pg 43 you will find your answer.

The out of date navdata is not an error, you can continue to use the product and in fact you may want to leave the original navdata alone until after you have flown the two tutorials, which also use the original navdata. The tutorials and Introduction are basically mandatory even if you have flight experience.
