Hi Steve,

I've searched the forum and the manual but nothing I've found so far alludes to my issue. As I pan around in external view the self-shadowing flashes on and off and the point when it does can be narrowed to a small band. Is this just an FsX issue or a model issue ( it happens with all aircraft) or is there a possible fix?

No Steve, no legacy self-shadowing.

ok,   I have seen what you describe with legacy self shadowing as you pan around shadows disappear for an instant and then reappear - I have never seen it without that setting.  When I investigated the engine appeared not to draw the anything in the shadowmap pass so I guess that there is a bug in the engine somewhere. So I think I am saying thats the way it is!
