  1. Hi Steve, I'm really sorry but I had previously asked this question and your reply worked. http://www.avsim.com/topic/465842-question-for-steve-about-window-glass/?hl+%2Bduck
  2. Hi Steve, I tried that but it made no difference.
  3. Hi Steve, I have an FsX native Grumman Duck where the canopy glass is invisible when I load it now. I have some screenshots I took in 2013, when I was using Dx10 with your fixer and the canopy glass is visible. I've reinstalled the aircraft but still no glass. Is there a setting that might have disabled the glass? I believe that the shiny glass (as it is in my 2013 screenshot) is in the model as I can find no texture relating to glass. Regards, Roger.
  4. Has anyone found a way to implement gradual transition spot instead of locked spot? I tried adding that view to FSc camera config but no joy.
  5. Ok Steve, thanks for looking.
  6. I got some more on a second flight and added these to the shared folder but still the issue remains.
  7. I found all the missing textures indicated by the missing texture alert in the C47 demo and when added to the Viscount "shared" texture folder they made no difference to the issue.
  8. Interesting that the missing texture alert shows 4 textures missing when loading the Viscount. The are all related to the AH (aeroplane Heaven) C47 which I do not have installed on my pc. They all relate to Fuse front and glass, so I wonder if these C47 textures were used (called for by the .mdl) but not included in the Viscount texture pack (also made by AH for JF).
  9. Thanks Steve, Turning self shadowing off no result. uninstalling Dx10 Fixer libraries no result. Is the missing texture alert the one that you add to the FsX.cfg?
  10. I have an issue with Just Flight's Viscount in Dx10. There is a strange artefact over the cockpit windscreen that isn't there in Dx9. It is FsX native and is supposed to be Dx10 compatible. http://imgbox.com/g/ExtqKBh0cd
  11. Many thanks Steve. I'll give it a try this evening.
  12. Thanks for the Fixer Steve. I was using Dx10 even before the Fixer and with it the vast majority of issues have been fixed. I have one Dx10 native aircraft, a freeware Grumman Duck (from the SimOuthouse) where the canopy glass is invisible in Dx10. No amount of fiddling with the glass texture alphas or images works. Have you any ideas from the Fixer tools that might help? Kind regards, Roger.
  13. God bless you Tom. Avsim will survive because you gave it your all and that's as much as anyone can give.
  14. It seems that the best results come from limiting frames in FsX to a value that you can't normally achieve very often and then Fiber Acc' will dynamically alter cfg entries to suit the loading. Now as I understand it, the vsync tearing fix is only achieved when frames are limited to half the refresh rate, which in my case is 30 because my monitor refresh is at 60Hz. So if I start changing my limit in FsX then I will see tearing as the NVI setting will not be valid. Can anyone confirm this?
  15. I suspect the Fixer will be back...once Steve has had a good rest. I think in his support Steve was trying to please everyone and sort every tiny problem. Eventually the Fixer development has to stop evolving and be a product that pleases most of the people most of the time. I'm already in that bracket and am eternally grateful for Steve's program that made Dx10 as right as it can be and spurred scenery and aircraft devs to take note of Dx10 for us all to enjoy.
  16. The ability to render legacy aircraft and scenery for most of us is secondary to the Fixer's ability to make Dx10 fully useable with Dx10 scenery. Also add-on converter X whilst being the only program to allow textures to be shown on legacy aircraft back in 2008 did not allow any shine on them nor did it cure any of the scenery issues in FsX.
  17. Hi Steve, I'd already checked their paint forum but their latest post was Thu May 31, 2012 7:18 pm and no mention of a Dx10 paint.
  18. I really like the Bay tower RV7 but it has painted shadows in vc which conflict with real shadows enabled in Dx10. Has anyone managed to remove the painted shadows?
  19. SimOuthouse FsX/Dx10 forum.
  20. Thanks Craig. That's a shame and spoils spot view immersion for me.
  21. I've just bought the Dash 8-400 on sale and for some reason I can't find the spot view "gradual transition" and default seems to be locked spot. I hate the "plane on a stick" view so does anyone know how to enable gradual transition? Roger.
  22. Great news! Thanks for the continued support Steve.
  23. Great service Steve! I'll try your suggestions tomorrow.
