Bay tower vans RV7 vc shadows

Featured Replies

I really like the Bay tower RV7 but it has painted shadows in vc which conflict with real shadows enabled in Dx10. Has anyone managed to remove the painted shadows?

Steve,

I am trying to enable shadows in the VC of the Eaglesoft CX, which is allegedly DX10 compatible according to Eaglesofts website.

I am using the toolbox but get an error " Cannot find SMAP section in model - cannot process"

Is there any more I can do with this addon to get the shadows ? or is it something only Eaglesoft can fix.

Hi Steve,

I'd already checked their paint forum but their latest post was Thu May 31, 2012 7:18 pm and no mention of a Dx10 paint.

I had a look at the interior paint kit (just for the hell of it). It looks to me like the VC shadows are not in their own layer, but mixed in with a layer which provides general lighting variations for the VC. It would take some skill with Photoshop to remove the shadows while maintaining the overall appearance. Not impossible, but not as trivial as turning off a layer and saving a new texture file.
