Not sure if I delete both shader folders or just the folders in them Thanks,

Delete/Rebuild your Facilities/Scenery Indexes and Shader Folders – Periodically
delete your Facilities/Scenery Indexes located in Program Data/Microsoft/FSX. Delete the
Facilities and Scenery folders. Delete the Shader folders located in AppData/ (your user
name)/Local/Microsoft/FSX/Shader10 and Shader folders. When you restart FSX, these
folders will be rebuilt. It has been known to fix some CTD’s. (Thanks to Kuragiman).

These are temporary folders for FSX.  They will be rebuild.  If you are unsure of my expert recommendations in the AVSIM CTD Guide, just rename the Shader10 folder to Shader10_OLD and the Shader folder to Shader_OLD.  Restart FSX and you will see the folders have been rebuilt and you can delete the one's you renamed OLD.

Best regards,

Jim

That is definitely okay if you have DX10 enabled.  When you disable DX10, then the Shaders folder will be generated.
