January 28, 20188 yr Hello Oliver, Sorry, again me ;) I just installed (with the supplied installer) FSDG-Cape Verde FREE to take a look. It uses the AddOn organisation recommanded by LM. It creates 3 folders in My Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons - FSDG - FSDG Capo Verde Free - FSDG Capo Verde Library each one with an apparently correctly formed addon.xml. The scenery is recognized by Prepar3D and LittleNavMap, but don't appears in the scenery list nor the packages list of AddOn Organizer (I have updated to the last version 1.26 b01 - was true also in 1.19 and 1.25) Let me know if you want to "see" some files. Thanks - Regards - Gérard
January 28, 20188 yr Commercial Member Hello Gérard, I have just downloaded and installed that package - it works fine for me. I can see the two FSDG scenery entries on the first page of the P4AO and the library entry in the "other addons" tab. No idea why it would be invisible on your computer. Access rights maybe? Did you run the P4AO as adminitrator? The most probable culprit though is the add-ons.cfg in AppData\Local. Can you check it, what the entries for the FSDG stuff look like? Probably best if you send it to me via email, but it may take me until tomorrow to check it out. Edit: those XML files aren't exactly correct either. More a case of "it works, doesn't it?". Best regards LORBY-SI
January 28, 20188 yr Author Hello Oliver, I am sorry to have raised what seams a "fausse alerte". After lauching P3D once (and closing back), Capo verde did appear in AddonOrganizer :( 4 hours ago, Lorby_SI said: Edit: those XML files aren't exactly correct either. More a case of "it works, doesn't it?". Does it really works ? After, there was a mess in my scenery.cfg - the (famous) ORBX insertion points were not as I expected. I had to reset them... Before, CAPO Verde was not in AppData\Roaming addon.cfg. They are now there (added by Prepar3D ?). Regards - Gérard Nota : I am following the (hot) debate on Addon Rant - I was tempted to mention that, on a fresh install of 4.1 (nothing else added), ContentError.txt was complaining about the "squeaking brakes_Sound.gau" which was a 32bits dll ! I easily fixed the problem, but that don't looks serious coming from LM !
January 29, 20188 yr Commercial Member Hello Gérard, P4AO can only see content that the simulator has looked at first, it has always been this way. Not sure about the rest. Haven't looked at the scenery.cfg yet. Can't remember about the error log, but I know that mine doesn't have that message - and that it can be empty too (I have three licenses of P3D, two for development, one for flying). That is easily checked though, will do that later. Best regards LORBY-SI

So far, the only content using the addon.xml method have been installed by me using your AddonOrganizer. That's why I never noticed it. Have a good day. Gérard
