Certainly I can imagine circumstances where having the screen right in front of your eyes might be helpful, but VR glasses are focused in such a way that if you need glasses in real life, you need glasses in vr. Which is to say, it's probably more complex than it seems at first blush, and the question is certainly better suited to being answered by a doctor.
