Sunlight/shadows changing with view direction P3D V4

Recommended Posts

First of all loving what PTA does to the sim however this issue is much more pronounced with PTA applied.  Without PTA I don’t seem to see the effect inside the aircraft but just a little on the ground.  Seems if I turn view towards 90 degrees from direction of sun I loose shadows/sunlight effect from ground and aircraft surfaces.  This video best shows it.....any ideas?

P3Dv4.2 with latest version of PTA

Also using ENVTEX though still get this problem with ENVTEX removes.

That is a P3D issue and was reported with 4.1 already.

Because most PTA presets have darker cloud shadows and slightly brighter terrain it can be seen much clearer.

You can make a thread at the official LM P3D forum ( not Avsim ) with your vid and I will respond in the thread that I see it too.

Perhaps others will chime in and LM will put it on their todo list.

regards, Gerard
