Within P3D i see the recommendation to delete the <Shaders> folder after installing new scenery or upgrading to a new version.

Now i wonder what this function in ChasePlane does? 

Anyone?

The Button in the Preferences is a shortcut to do just that, nothing more, nothing less.

ChasePlane does not benefit from the Shaders cache but we want to make it easy for people to debug issues they bring to us.
