February 26, 20188 yr I believe you can still buy directly from nVidia store. The prices are not great but are much lower than the retail stores. EDIT just checked and nVidia store is out of stock too. Edited February 26, 20188 yr by Henry Street My MSFS 2020 repaints: Flightsim.to - Profile of HStreet Working on MSFS 2024 versions.
February 27, 20188 yr Author Commercial Member The only one I found was this: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/nvidia-founders-edition-geforce-gtx-1080-8gb-gddr5x-pci-express-3-0-graphics-card/5330600.p?skuId=5330600 However, I prefer EVGA, right? Better boost? If you have a lot of desktop icons, I'd get an app called DesktopOK (http://www.softwareok.com/?seite=Freeware/DesktopOK) to save the icon positions so you don't have to potentially reorganize them after the card change. Before changing cards, uninstall the NVIDIA drivers and reboot. Once you're up and running with the default Windows graphics drivers, shut down and install the new card making sure to connect up the extra power leads. Make sure you earth yourself before starting to avoid any static damage to components. It's also worth taking the opportunity to give the system a complete spring clean paying particular attention to fan blades and coolers. Download the latest drivers from https://www.geforce.com/drivers. I always go for the manual search/download as I've found that the GeForce Experience causes more issues than it has advantages. With your system back up and running, install the NVIDIA drivers using the "clean install" option. Sit back and enjoy your new card! i7-14700k | Asus ROG STRIX Z790-F Gaming WIFI | 32GB DDR5 RAM | MSI RTX 4080 Super | WD Black SN850X 1TB & 2TB | Corsair HX1000i ATX3.0 | MSI MAG401QR 40" monitor | Win 11 Pro 64-bit | Meta Quest 3

The extra power is supplied to the card directly from your PSU through 2 extra ( 8-pin and 6-pin) power connectors.
